SCARS trainers are senior members, or recent former members, of first tier SpecOps (special operations) units. The definition of a first tier unit is, when the President calls these are the men that go. The press speaks of the US Army’s DELTA force or the US Navy’s DEVGRU. The SCARS Institute draws from these rather well known units as well as other units LESS well known to the public. Most of their resumes include “conflicts other than war”. That is a nice way of saying these men fight the undeclared wars for their country. The rigorous selection processes for these units are legendary and the instructors we provide you are the best of the best from those elite units.

If you check out most of the competition providing tactical training you may have some special operations types, but few first tier personnel and NONE with the seniority and experience of this cadre. These men spent years, and had millions of dollars, to find the most efficient way to quickly achieve tactical proficiency in ALL aspects of your mission.

Mr. Jerry Peterson has over 43 years of experience in both real world operations development and deployment. His personal wartime experience and corporate security experiences is both overt and covert in nature. His alliances with both governmental and private security groups allow SICS to excel in highly specialized contracts and services. SCARS staff is hand pick for special high risk training and/or security contracts and can be deployed anywhere in the world to handle any security needs.

Mr. Blake Peterson has over 16 years of experience in both real world operations development and deployment. He is a Subject Matter Expert certified to instruct both physiological and physical warfare tactics to the US Special Operation Force. Mr. Peterson has trained the U.S. Navy SEALs, US Army’s Elite Green Beret, at the JFK Center, US Air Force, US Marshals, US Border Patrol, US Air Marshals, and other elite units along with foreign dignitaries and their Tier One units (Presidential Guards) in lethal and non-lethal tactics for direct conflict resolution and advanced security deployment.

The Conception of SCARS

The Conception of SCARS began in real combat 1968-69 Vietnam. Jerry L. Peterson, then a soldier serving two combat tours in the elite Army Reaction Force of the 173rd Airborne Charlie Company, found that the close combat training he had received was nearly useless against the grim realities of 20th century warfare. He and the soldiers in his unit were forced to learn close combat by trial and error, in a place where error meant death. He was convinced there had to be a better way to train for and successfully execute close combat. The Psychological Development of the Fearless Mind-Set Process. Jerry formulated concepts and theories that applied to human movement and psychological survival under do-or-die conditions. His early analytical and physical techniques worked, giving him the tools to survive numerous combat engagements. Jerry wanted more, he wanted to know why humans would be fearless one day and then frozen in fear the next resulting in death. Mr. Peterson would discover and verify after 20 years of personal research that he had created a process to eliminate fear. This meant the total destruction of fear in the human brain. Not controlling fear with over training or conquering fear with shear will power, he simply removed it from the psyche of the human brain. Accomplishing the first goal of human control, a fearless mind-set, he discovered the mind controlled other human processes that inevitably lead to life or death in a high-risk action.
