Video Training FAQ
In order to better serve our members we have elaborated on some of our FAQ and training tips. Please read below this information is very important!
Can I really learn by just viewing a video lesson?
Absolutely! We have received letters and phone calls from people that have saved their own lives by viewing a lesson just once!
Do I need a training partner?
No, however you need to visualize yourself completing the movements and physically follow along! Our training videos will begin to immediately set proper codes in your brain and subconscious for handling life or death situations. Therefore, if you have no training partner you can and will learn, however having a partner is beneficial!
How do I pick a training partner?
Finding a training partner isn’t as hard as you think! Learning is not about going hard and beating each other. You just need to have human contact to understand how principles work. As you practice and become competent you can increase your speed and utilize power. Practicing slow and smooth is the key to truly learning this system! Training partners can be any size and any gender, the more body types you can experience manipulating the better you will become.
How many times should I practice each lesson with or without a partner?
At least 21 times to develop the proper mental and physical skills to be successful!
How do I train with a partner?
Training to be successful in a violent situation is much different than the way most people train for any form of self-protection. Sparing with a partner and/or learning combinations does nothing to prepare you for surviving a life or death situation, nor does hitting any type of training bag. Those concepts do teach you good coordination skills but they do not teach you to recall the information when you need it most! As mentioned above by reviewing our training videos your brain and subconscious will begin to set codes for handling life or death situations immediately, this is one of the reasons why our system is undefeatable.
Once you have a partner, and a few lessons picked out decide who is going first. You both will give each other two turns each, if you do this rotation 11 times you will have practiced the lesson 22 times each. Hint: You’re the one that attacks twice, then your partner is the attacker twice. Do not be the “good guy” or the “attacker” 21 times in a row, rotate!
Copy what you see the Instructor doing on the video. Move at a slow speed do not try to fight or resist each other. A productive training session is picking three new lessons and practicing them as above with two turns each. Then take 5-10 minutes with no help from one another or talking and just workout.
A workout is a no talk time, you still share two turns each, however, the goal is to integrate the three lessons you just learned into a free flowing consistent movement workout. Your partner can attack you with any of the scenarios from the three lessons and vise versa. Do not try to memorize the lessons and repeat them. Just utilize the principles and moves of all three of the lessons each turn you get. Your goal is to learn to think and move fluid without pausing or setting yourself for a movement. This is why all systems fail where you will succeed. Feeling uncoordinated is ok and normal! You are doing something no one has ever done, you are learning to control an uncontrollable situation! Remember to breathe as you move 5-10 minutes of this kind of exercise is intense! Do not try to go fast just get to the point where you are moving consistent and controlled.
Reacting: As you train with a partner you must learn to react, not doing so only hinders your progression. Pay attention to the person on the video who is the “Attacker” look at how he is reacting to the pain. When it is your turn to be the “Attacker” react the proper way when you are struck. If you do not feel contact, do not react. The amount of contact can increase the more you practice. Take it easy in the beginning!!!
Most important, have fun! Push yourself to move, step and look exactly like the Instructor on the video, posture and foot placement means everything! Pay attention to how the Instructor moves forward, where he steps and how he moves! It’s the difference of making it work naturally rather than fighting. Hint: Get it out of your head that you are learning to fight! Fighting means there is always going to be someone tougher, faster, bigger and uglier than you! You are not learning to fight you are learning the science of human control. You will always be 100 steps ahead of a person learning to fight! No one knows or understands the tools (SCARS) you hold in your mind! USE THEM!
This system is very much like golf in the sense that you use your bodies natural design, not strength, speed or size to get the job done.
There are over 750 Lessons where do I begin?
Whether you are an expert or a beginner we are teaching you to how to look at human movement and threat from a scientific perspective.
This changes everything in the sense that you will no longer be incorporating different systems and or styles nor will you have to re-learn fighting each time you move to a different training skill, for example learning to box then learning to knife fight and then to ground fight and then kick box.
Our system of training is developed from scientific principles meaning you never waste time learning useless information. We give the rules and tools to develop a solid base of principles that forever build off each other. Our goal is to take the impossible and make it a simple problem to solve.
